Being an inspiration and dear one to many, it truly becomes a constant reaffirmation of how this fragrance has become a remarkable icon in the industry. I guess it needs no further emphasis to signify how this fragrance has become really popular, really well-loved—up to a point where it is moving and setting direction for the community; even making many people to actually get into discovering fragrances because of it. As one of the most-loved darlings of the brilliant brand, English Pear & Freesia shines as a fine representation to Jo Malone London (I can imagine this becoming a perfect all-around scent for their Townhouse, alongside their top signature Lime Basil & Mandarin). It is the embodiment which captures the character of the brand—effortless elegance, timeless luxury, delicate flair while celebrating spectacularity and a dash of whimsicality in refined simplicity. Just like its name, the fragrance features notes of King William or Williams Pear (quintessentially British and special to the brand) and Freesia; with Patchouli as its base. I would describe English Pear & Freesia as an exuberant and lush fragrance. It is fresh and delicate; crisp and smooth; well-balanced and not too much yet well-pronounced at the same time. The pear note here is special as it gives both crisp and juicy facets; fresh and ripe while also being soft and mellow. Along with freesia at its heart, the combination of both notes exudes a suffusion of delicate delight; a complementary, distinctive fruity-floral blend that is smooth and lustrous. Now at the base, patchouli and amber both establish a great background and character which makes this fragrance distinctive and unique. With the warm and elegant nature of amber and depth from patchouli, the sweetness from the fruity-floral notes gets toned down and redefined—which altogether becomes what I love about this beautiful fragrance. I think amber at the base performs an excellent part in adding some warmth while building the elegant character; which everybody seems to point out a lot from this fragrance. I like how this fragrance has both warmth and freshness; a delicate yet also evocative scent. With the top, heart and base combined, this fragrance evokes a redefined nuance. Hence, this becomes not overly fruity nor floral and not too sweet—just well-balanced, lustrous and versatile; making sense of how so many people love and cherish this creation. From the notes, it would not typically be one that I strongly reach for, initially. However, it has actually ended up becoming one of my top favorites from the brand. That is what always impresses me about Jo Malone London. Although notes-wise I might think that I would not really be interested in one at first, I tend to end up appreciating most of their creations. Just like other fragrances from the brand, English Pear & Freesia is really well-balanced and easily lovable. It is simple and understandable, yet always present with flair and uniqueness in character; setting a lovely distinction. I would also like to point out on the uniqueness factor of this fragrance as I have never found any other to be really similar to English Pear & Freesia. Referring to Celine Roux's description from the brand, English Pear & Freesia captures the fleeting romance of autumn as it steps in and appeal of an English orchard. The fragrance is inspired by "Ode to Autumn" by John Keats, a great romantic poet. It totally makes sense as I have mentioned above, this fragrance balances both freshness and warmness; a perfect representation of the transitional period between summer and autumn. Having the best of both worlds wrapped up in delicate, effortless elegance and flair, this fragrance is definitely versatile for any occasions; all-year round (especially nice for our climate here in Indonesia). It also has great performance and longevity (it is present and lingering, but not overpowering); both on the skin and clothes—fantastic when layered. The scent lasts primarily for 5-6 hours on me (which then still lingers close to the skin and stays on clothes for quite long after). It has a decent projection and sillage as well. I have tried layering this scent on its own (Bath & Body Wash + Cream + Cologne) and with other scents, both work really nice—adding a point for its versatility. Being worthy of a signature scent (which has definitely been for many), this fragrance is adequate to "dress it up or dress it down". This fragrance is nice for both men and women (just like all of the brand's offerings). Everyone in my family loves it from when I first introduced this fragrance to them and now, we occasionally share this fragrance among us. One last thing that I would like to highlight about English Pear & Freesia is how I love the fragrance consistently in all formats of products: from the classic Cologne, bath & body (been enjoying the Body & Hand Wash and Hand Cream), to the home fragrances (the diffuser is now available in Indonesia and I can definitely picture this scent to be lovely for the home). The Cologne and Body & Hand Wash formats for this particular scent both shine out best for me. Being a classic from the brand, it is absolutely perfect for ones who love this scent as it is available in all formats. Not to mention, this often gets released in special, limited-edition bottles that are beautiful and collectible. All in all, English Pear & Freesia is undeniably a staple, quintessential classic from Jo Malone London. It is definitely worth the reputation and popularity. One that I would easily recommend for anyone who is discovering the brand. Not to mention, it also becomes a favorite to the Queen Bees of Female Daily Network—as mentioned in the YouTube video when they did a brand review of Jo Malone London! Wanginya unik dan enak, dari pertama nyium langsung jatuh cinta,kombinasi wanginya berasa elegan, fresh, fruity youthfull dan sexy jadi 1 pokoknyaa berasa berkelas banget. Enaknya lagi, english pear ini bisa dipakai untuk sehari hari maupun ke berbagai acara juga masih masuk.. wanginya lumayan tahan dan lembut, tapi tidak buat pusing.. ga bakalan nyesel deh cobain inii 👍👍

Pengalaman sama beberapa perfume yg lebih accentuate fruity scent nya malah berakhir benci krn ngerasa kyk pewangi ruangan🙃 tp kasusnya beda sih sm jo malone english pear & freesia ini. Even the word freesia comes after the word english pear, tapi ternyata the scent collaborates perfectly. Just the right amount of each component🥰 even tho kedengerannya simple “pear and freesia”, tapi wanginya complex bgt to the point gw gabisa nebak ini wangi apa pas first sniff (ofcourse sebelum liat label namanya yg to the point bgt yaaa). Salah satu varian parfume dari Jo Malone yang hits banget, hampir semua org will like it. Khususnya perempuan, parfum ini wanginya ada wangi bunga tapi lebih mendominasi wangi manisnya sih. Sebagai pecinta parfume yang aromanya manis, i like it so much! Agak strong diawal tapi kelamaan ga sestrong diawal kok. Cocok banget buat ke kantor, dan lumayan tahan lama.

Beli ini iseng waktu di Harrods dan ternyata jadi salah satu perfume andalan buat day time. Selalu dapet compliments dari orang2 kalau lagi pake perfume ini. Baunya seger, floral, fruity and a bit powdery. Longevitynya juga oke banget, kalau pake ini mood pasti langsung naik!

Slm ini cocok - cocokan sama parfum. Males yang Lama - lama bikin pusing. Tapi ini ga sama sekali!!!Seger banget. Udah kaya jadi wangi ciri khas diri sendiri. Walaupun yang katanya banyak wangi dupenya, tetep ga ada yang nyamain wanginya. Love!
